MORE CONFIDENCE OUTSIDE

“I’m now walking less hesitantly down hills and with much more confidence. It’s helped me realise that getting older doesn’t have to mean losing flexibility or mobility.”

Carol

MOVING MORE FREELY

“I wanted to move more freely without pain or restriction. I already feel more comfortable in my joints and more confident in everyday movement.”

Graham

MORE ACTIVE. MORE MOBILE

“Your support has meant everything to me. If I hadn’t started working with you, I wouldn’t be as active or mobile as I am now.”

Julie

Maybe you've noticed yourself becoming more cautious lately..

Thinking twice about longer walks

Avoiding uneven ground

Feeling less confident carrying things, getting down to the floor, or trusting your balance

You’ve not given up, but movement feels different now

..and when your movement changes, your life can start to feel smaller too

You don’t want to push through pain. But you don’t want to stop living fully either.

At Nurture Movement, we focus on helping people feel more steady, capable and confident in everyday life through thoughtful, supportive movement.

This might mean…

building strength gradually

improving balance and stability

feeling less fearful about movement

understanding your body better

or returning to activities you’ve slowly stopped doing

Because movement is not just exercise, it is part of how we stay connected to life.

Feeling more capable changes everyday life in ways people don’t always expect.

Clients often tell us they notice things like:

walking further without needing to stop

feeling steadier outdoors

getting up from the floor more easily

moving with more confidence and less hesitation

returning to activities they had slowly stopped doing

That’s the kind of progress that matters here:

  • The hills they climbed
  • The holidays they booked
  • and the moments they stopped holding themselves back!

Support looks different for everyone

Whatever brings you here, we can help you find the right starting point.

JOin the community

Move together, without pressure, still proud of what your body can do.

The Nurture Movement community is made up of people navigating changing bodies in thoughtful, supportive ways.

People who have experienced injuries, operations, setbacks or uncertainty around movement… and who want support that feels encouraging rather than intimidating.

They’re walkers and gardeners and grandparents and travellers.

People who still want to stay connected to the life they love.

Hi, I'm Sharron -

Movement Coach, Pilates Teacher and Manual Therapist.

I help people ease pain, build resilience, and feel more confident in their bodies through thoughtful, practical movement that supports everyday life.

My own movement journey has been my greatest teacher.

What began as a search for ways to cope with pain and creeping restrictions became a much deeper understanding of how to work with my body instead of against it.

Through trial, error and eventually discovery, I found approaches that helped me feel stronger, more capable and back in the driver’s seat again.

That experience shapes every session.

Not just my 26 years of Pilates experience, or my background in massage and remedial therapy, but the lived understanding of what it feels like when movement becomes uncertain… and how meaningful it is when it starts to feel possible again.

READ MY FULL STORY

I still remember being in the supermarket one day and having to leave my trolley halfway round because the pain in my neck, back and arms was so bad I genuinely didn’t know if I could drive home.

I was only 26.

Which made it even more frustrating because every time I tried to get help, I felt brushed off.

I was told things like “you’re too young for this” and handed painkillers or basic exercise sheets, but nobody really explained why my body felt the way it did or what I could actually do about it.

For about a year, I went from physios to osteopaths to chiropractors trying to find answers, but most of it felt passive. I kept feeling like I was handing my body over to someone else to fix.

Then I found Pilates.

And for the first time, I felt connected to my body instead of fighting against it.

I started understanding movement differently and realised I could influence how my body felt rather than waiting for someone else to “fix” me.

That changed everything.

I became fascinated by movement and the ways pain, stiffness, weakness and fear can slowly change how people live their lives.

Since then, I’ve spent years studying different movement approaches, learning from incredible mentors, and developing a way of working that helps people feel stronger, more capable and more confident in everyday life.

Because I don’t believe people should spend years doing that awkward little groan every time they get off the sofa and pretending it’s normal.

A lot of the people I work with have already tried the stretches, the generic exercises, and the advice to “just move more” without really feeling any different.

What I love most is helping people realise they are not fragile.

Seeing someone bend down without hesitation, walk without worrying, or get up from the floor more easily never gets old to me.

Because those moments change far more than pain, they change what people believe is still possible for them.

What clients say

Real people with real results

I went to see Sharron for a persistent knee pain – painful to walk down hills, not able to kneel. My goal was to walk pain free. My goal was achieved and my knee is back to normal. I do not even notice it at all.

Sadie

|

I was stuggling with painful, resticted knees and had lost confidence in my movment. After just 8 weeks, the difference is incredible. My pain has almost disappeared, and I can now climb, crouch, and walk confidently again with ease.

Rowena

|

5 days on holiday, where I walked everywhere without foot pain, climbed stairs confidently and balanced without a handrail.

The small changes have made such a massive difference to my life. Having someone believe in me and encourage me has helped me realise what I’m capable of again.
